Crying into the wind.......

Chicago is known as the "Windy City" due to the high winds that are part of daily living there and for it's history of "long winded" politicians. If you have ever tried to yell in a howling wind you already know what a futile and useless endeavor it is. Wendy was crying in the wind in her attempts to satisfy her need to feel wanted, loved, and needed.

Wendy was 17 years old when she disappeared... According to her Aunt... Wendy was married while living in Chicago... to a man by the name of Edward Freeman (aka Eddie Freeman.) The marriage was not a happy one, according to her Aunt it was an abusive relationship and Wendy was afraid of Eddie. Wendy left Eddie and moved in with her paternal grandparents who lived in Chicago when she found she had no where else to go.... but evidently this was not far enough out of his reach. Seeking to put more distance between her husband and his behavior Wendy subsequently moved to Holiday Florida to live with her maternal grandparents and her half-sister Jody Richards. Wendy's Aunt is not sure if Eddie was aware of Wendy's new living arrangement in Florida, but feels certain that he more then likely would have followed her.

It seems that Wendy's relationship with her mother Susan Richards Huggy (who has subsequently married again and for whom I am searching, if you know Susan's whereabouts or her new married name please contact me) was tenuous at best. Susan Richards Huggy according to my sources was a drug abuser, who's drug problems threatened her life at least three times with serious overdoses. These same sources state that Mrs Richards-Huggy worked as a playboy bunny, leaving her children in the company of some rather unsavory companions reportedly "Biker" types while she worked at night. Wendy endured a lot of hardship in her short life in Chicago. A mother who abused drugs, a husband who abused her and a father who's contempt for his wife left him estranged from the child the two shared. Wendy endured hardship and poverty on all levels, socially, economically, and emotionally. At some point the mother and daughter had a falling out and Susan kicked Wendy out of the house. Wendy lacking the love and nurturing of her mother and her father turned to Eddie Freeman to fill the void she had for affection and someone who truly cared for her. But Eddie only was interested in love on his terms as most abusive husbands will. Their problems were many, and finally when Wendy couldn't take it anymore she moved in with her Paternal Grandparents. At this point there is no way of knowing how long she took refuge with her grandparents.

At this writing.... the information I have is somewhat limited in scope.... As I get more answers to the question that begs us to discover Where Is Wendy ?? If she is out there thinking no one from her past cares about her......or..... if someone took Wendy, we can discover who the perp is that perhaps caused her untimely demise.
